Growing up in the restaurant business provided Mario with invaluable experience and insights that eventually led him to venture into owning his own restaurants. This experience brought a real understanding of what the needs are for business owners and operators. The demands of a small and growing family helped him make the decision to switch his efforts. Transitioning his focus in 1998, where he founded The Life Group, a Life Insurance group, with a vision to cater to the needs of business owners and operators. With the guidance of a knowledgeable mentor, he expanded services to include group health insurance for small businesses.​ In 2002, he embraced a new opportunity as an outside insurance broker specializing in personal and commercial lines, allowing him to further develop his business while continuing to grow his health business. His experience over the last 25+ years was shared with his son, Nicholas Galfano, and together they established the Olive Branch Group Health Benefits.
